Delivering better health to East Arnhem, Northern Territory

The Australian Digital Health Agency, in collaboration with delivery partners and stakeholders, will work with the East Arnhem community to:

  • Connect all healthcare providers in East Arnhem to the national My Health Record system and train them on how to use it and how it will benefit the community
  • Run a digital literacy program for East Arnhem residents to empower them to take advantage of the benefits of digital health
  • Showcase East Arnhem as a model for building digital health Communities of Excellence that can be replicated across Australia

East Arnhem was selected for the Communities of Excellence program based on a number of factors, including the distance and remoteness and the impact severe weather and other factors on patients’ access to health services, including those to treat and manage chronic disease.
