The National Steering Committee

The Collaborative is governed by a National Steering Committee, chaired by NSW Health, and is supported by a number of design and implementation committees with participation from all States and Territories. The Steering Committee provides reports to the Jurisdictional Advisory Committee (JAC) and the Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA) Board.

Purpose

The National Steering Committee is the decision-making body responsible for overseeing the operations of the National Children’s Digital Health Collaborative and the implementation of five digital health initiatives, which have been approved and funded by the Australian Digital Health Agency.

Goals & Objective

The Steering Committee will:

  • Provide strategic direction and advice to guide the operations of the National Children’s Digital Health Collaborative
  • Be an escalation point and provide advice and direction to the National Children’s Digital Health Collaborative Governance Committees
  • Act as the decision-making body for the National Children’s Digital Health Collaborative and agrees on prioritised roadmaps
  • Be an escalation point and provide advice and direction to the National Children’s Digital Health Collaborative Governance Committees
  • Establish a National Program Team, three (3) Proof of Concept Initiative Project Teams and their related National Initiative and Proof of Concept Initiative Implementation Committees, or as required, to deliver the initiatives
  • Establish the National Clinical & Consumer Advisory Group, National Research Advisory Group and sub-groups, to ensure that comprehensive consultation occurs across the Australian community and industry
  • Review the status of initiative implementations, and related activities, and provide direction
  • Ensure that the initiative solutions align with the National Digital Agenda and the Australian Digital Health Agency Strategic Plan, and are being designed and implemented to support possible future national roll-out
  • Oversee the development of the National Business Cases for possible future national roll-out of initiatives
